Explore the Vendée by bike from our 4-star campsite with swimming pool in La Tranche! Rent an adult (14€/day, 48€/week), child (10€/day, 48€/week) or electric bike (28€/day, 128/week), with accessories available (trailer, baby seat, basket, helmet, locks).
Take advantage of the cycle paths to discover the Plage de la Tranche-sur-Mer, the Forêt de Longeville or cycle along the Vélodyssée to La Rochelle and the Île de Ré.
Car-free holiday
Make the most of your stay at L’Escale du Perthuis with our many mobility services.
In high season, free shuttle buses (FunBus) take you to the town center, local markets and entertainment venues. A cycle path runs directly from the campsite, and bicycles are available for hire nearby. On site, you’ll find a grocery store, bread shop, newsagent, snack bar and bar. It’s easy to get around La Tranche sur Mer without a car. The Fun Bus shuttle bus runs from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the summer vacations, stopping 150 meters from the campsite entrance.
You can also get around on foot during the summer school vacations.
To get here without a car, you can come by bike (our campsite has the “Accueil Vélo” label) or by train to La Roche sur Yon or Les Sables d’Olonne, then take an Aléop coach (line 555).
To get around La Tranche sur Mer, Robin cabs (06 86 44 08 95) and coaches are available. Coach tours are also organized by the Tourist Office.

The bar-restaurant-snack bar at L’Escale du Perthuis welcomes you all day long in a friendly atmosphere. The bar opens its season on May 1, with catering service from mid-May. Take a seat on the terrace, close to the covered and heated swimming pooland enjoy a house cocktail, pizza, fresh salad or gourmet burger after a day on the beach or out cycling.
